Crawford Headers

High Flow Cats

                              Research & Development

At Crawford Performance, we are working towards producing parts that will take a normally aspirated 3.5 liter Nissan VQ Series engine to the 300 wheel HP mark, which would equate to 365 Crankshaft HP from the stock 287 CHP.

We have spent countless hours developing parts that first must meet our goals for performance, cost and reliability before being offered to our customers. Trying to achieve these goals without doing extreme modifications such as boring the engine, raising the compression ratio, rebuilding the bottom end, or more radical choices like turbocharging or supercharging has been a difficult and time consuming task.

Our goal has always been to achieve this benchmark with a combination of high quality bolt-on parts. We are the originators of the performance intake plenum with which everyone is familiar. We also have developed our own headers, larger throttle body, high flow catalytic converters, and also offer high performance cams and piggyback ECU systems.

We are now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, as we recently hit The 299 WHP mark with an experimental throttle body setup; now all we have to do is make something that will work, and be cost effective, which is always easier said then done.

The reasons we chose to pursue the normally aspirated route are we believe there would be a lower risk of having a catastrophic engine failure, the car would be more reliable and responsive, easier to drive and just plain be more fun to drive on twisty roads, autocross courses, and at road course events.

Our reputation and history of servicing, modifying and racing Nissans since the 1970s allows us to offer our customers parts and service backed by years of experience and a wealth of knowledge, but mainly by delivering the level of service that our customers deserve and expect.
